ABOUT PETROXIUM
Iraqi Supply, Coordinated from Inside Iraq
PETROXIUM connects international buyers with qualified Iraqi suppliers of petroleum products, sulfur and minerals, and coordinates each transaction from first enquiry to shipment.
WHO WE ARE
PETROXIUM was founded in 2022 and is based in Baghdad. It began by connecting Iraqi buyers and suppliers on domestic transactions, and is now opening Iraqi supply to international buyers. We work on the ground across the country, in Arabic and English, which lets us check suppliers, follow cargoes and coordinate inspection and logistics in person rather than from abroad.
HOW WE WORK
Clear Terms from the Start
You know how we are paid, and who you sign with, before anything is agreed.
A Clear Service Agreement
Our work is covered by a consultancy and logistics services agreement, payable only when the deal closes.
Direct Contracts
The sale and purchase agreement is signed directly between buyer and seller, with payment by letter of credit or other agreed terms.
Independent Verification
Quality and quantity are checked at loading by an independent inspection company, as agreed in the contract.

EXPORT ROUTES
How Cargo Leaves Iraq
Petroleum products and minerals can leave Iraq by sea from Basra, or overland to ports in Jordan and Turkey.
By Sea from Basra
Umm Qasr and Khor Al-Zubair on the Gulf, for bulk, bagged and liquid cargo shipped by vessel.
Overland to Jordan
By road through Anbar to the port of Aqaba on the Red Sea.
Overland to Turkey
By road through the north to Mersin, İzmir and the commercial terminals at Ceyhan on the Mediterranean.
The route for each cargo is agreed per contract, with the supplier and logistics providers.
OUR PRINCIPLES
- We only present supply that a qualified Iraqi supplier can actually deliver.
- We never claim access to SOMO allocations. Crude oil buyers apply to SOMO themselves; our role is limited to advisory and logistics support.
- Buyer and supplier details are kept confidential and shared only with consent.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Send us your product, quantity and destination. We reply within one business day, confirm availability with suppliers, and may ask for basic company information before introductions, to protect both sides.
